Managed CDN
Serve optimized assets from Cache Rocket’s global edge—no CNAME setup required.
Cache Rocket Managed CDN delivers your cloud-optimized assets—WordPress images and LQIP from img.cacherocket.com, Critical CSS (and optional Next.js /_next/static) from assets.cacherocket.com. When Media cloud features are enabled in the WordPress plugin, rewritten URLs point at Cache Rocket automatically. There is nothing to configure for the default hostnames.

Your CDN for cloud-optimized assets
When Cache Rocket processes images, Critical CSS, or LQIP jobs in the cloud, the results are stored securely and served through Cache Rocket’s edge. Image URLs rewrite to img.cacherocket.com so visitors download lean assets—not oversized originals from origin. Critical CSS stays on assets.cacherocket.com.
Disabling a cloud Media feature removes that site’s related files from Cache Rocket storage and best-effort purges the edge. You stay in control of what stays online.
Separate from your own CDN hostnames
Optional custom CDN rewriting in the WordPress plugin (your own hostnames) is independent of Managed CDN. Use custom CNAMEs when you already run Cloudflare, Bunny, or another provider for all static assets—and use Managed CDN for Cache Rocket cloud optimizations without colliding configurations.

- Do I need to add a CNAME for assets.cacherocket.com?
- No. The Managed CDN hostname is configured automatically when cloud Media features deliver assets.
- Is Managed CDN the same as CDN Integrations?
- No. Managed CDN serves Cache Rocket-optimized assets. CDN Integrations connect your own Cloudflare, Bunny, Fastly, or KeyCDN account for purge → rewarm of page URLs.
- What happens if I hit my bandwidth quota?
- New CDN-backed optimization work pauses for the billing period until quota resets or you upgrade. Existing delivered assets remain available subject to your plan.
