LQIP (low-quality image placeholders) are tiny blurred previews shown while the full image downloads. Cache Rocket generates them in the cloud for new uploads when the feature is enabled on Pro or Business plans.

Placeholders work alongside image optimization and Managed CDN. They do not replace LazyLoad—they improve what users see during the load.

Is LQIP on Starter?
No. LQIP starts on Pro. Starter still includes Managed CDN, WebP image optimization, and PageSpeed Insights.
Does LQIP use CDN bandwidth?
LQIP artifacts delivered via Managed CDN count toward CDN-related usage according to your plan metering.
What if I disable LQIP?
Related CDN objects for that site are cleaned up, same pattern as other cloud Media features.
